Three most memorable experiences at the shop (in order):

  1. "Having Kelly Brady (Artist Relations, Brady Drum Company) help me pick out my dream snare drum--a 5.5"x13" London plane block shell that cuts like a twelve inch soprano but has the projection of a 8"x14."
  2. "Stumbling across the drum shop while driving around bored to death on a business trip, and then moving down to the O.C. and becoming a shop regular with a seat behind the counter."
  3. "Meeting Akira Jimbo AND Yamaha's very own Hagi and getting both to autograph my limited edition Akira Jimbo snare. It was the shit to have Akira himself say that he hadn't seen one in such good condition and in so long. Damn thing's over ten years old, I found out."
